What to expect on your staycation at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore?

Standing tall since 1987, overlooking the beautiful Marina Bay and offering one of the most luxurious 5-stars experience in Singapore, Mandarin Oriental should definitely make in top choices for your next staycation !

Even with the Phase 2 lockdown and no dine in – it is an experience you’ll cherish as a family, couple, friends or solo guest. And, the best part, it’s not as harsh on your pockets – as the other hotels in the bay area!

Whether it’s a special occasion or you would just like to take a break from that mundane routine – this hotel should make amongst your top choices, here’s why:

1. Mesmerizing views from the French Windows!

We took the harbor view room – partially overlooking the flyer and the sea and partially overlooking the bay and the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) hotel. We were absolutely awed by the landscape & skies changing colors magically from dusk to night to dawn ❤ .

The water is still in the night, casting a perfect reflection of the glittering Gardens by the Bay domes, helix bridge, flyer and MBS! Gaze and get lost as the skies dramatically change from a purple reddish hue to light blue, in the early hours of the morning while lying in your bed! That’s how one would love to start their morning!

It’s literally a million dollar view right from you room.

2. Guest Experience & hospitality!

We have to give 5 stars to the service. The hotel does have a rustic, beautiful vibe to it with all the modern facilities. The staff goes out of their way to make your experience memorable.

Can’t miss the big chandelier on entrance!

Every single detail and guest requests are taken care of. Fast and easy check-in & flexible check outs! We did not want to leave the hotel at all and requested for late checkout 🙂 & enjoyed the extra few hours past the standard checkout time of 12PM.

Rooms were perfect in terms of cleanliness and had sweet treats – welcome drinks & cookies! We stayed during the ‘no dine in’ lockdown! Breakfast room service was pretty decent – you can choose from a few options per person – Western, Asian, Continental & customize it to a fully vegetarian option as well!

3. Indulge & Relax!

With the safe distancing measures in place, the hotel has pool slots for 1 hour per day. Do make sure you book in advance in case you want a specific time slot! You can simply whatsapp the hotel to book any facility – spa, pool etc. If you are staying there when dining-in is allowed, there are restaurants right beside the pool – for a relaxed ‘vacationy’ vibe.

There are cute luxurious seating canopies for you to chillax and enjoy a snack while you watch the sunset! Trust me you wouldn’t want to leave the spot ❤ ! The hotel also offers other facilities – gym, room service, in-room bathtub and other amenities.

4. Location! Location! Location!

Right in the heart of the city and a stones throw away from Marina Square Mall, there are always plenty of things to do around the hotel. You can shop till you drop or visit the many touristy places in the CBD area – Singapore Flyer, Esplanade, Gardens by the Bay or Art and Science Museum. All the attractions are walking distance or a bus stop away! Leverage on the location while you are in the hottest area of the city!

5. SG Clean certified!

Though the current situation has cut our wings to travel, hotel chains under the SG Clean certified program are working 24×7 to make your stay Safe, room and surfaces properly Sanitized and Social distancing protocols adhered to. M.O. has got you covered – the hotel gives a cute Care package with mask and sanitizing wipes 🙂 !

All in all, it’s a great break from your routine to simply unwind, specially in these testing times!
